Carlos (CK) Kokron
Introduction
Carlos Kokron (“CK”) is a General Partner and Investment Committee member at SE Ventures. He focuses on investment opportunities driving Energy Transition and Sustainability. CK brings over 20 years of VC investing and business development experience.
Professional Experience
Before joining SE Ventures, he was Vice President and Managing Director at Qualcomm Ventures running the US and LatAm investment and business development teams. At Qualcomm Ventures he focused his investments activity on opportunities around mobility and IoT, and backed companies like 99 (acquired by Didi), Augury, Altiostar (Rakuten), Loggi, Matterport (MTTR), Particle, Quinto Andar, SPAN, Tive and Zoop (iFood).
Prior to joining Qualcomm Ventures, he was a partner at an early VC/PE firm in Brazil for 3 years. He began his VC investing career at Intel Capital in LatAm and later joining the US investments team. Earlier in his career, he worked as a process and design engineer at Unilever in Brazil and at Chevron in California.
Education
CK earned his MBA from UC Berkeley and holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering.
