Professional Experience
James has more than 20 years of global experience in software, business operations, and strategy in various industrial sectors. Before joining SE Ventures, James was Senior Vice President of Global Business Operations and Strategic Projects for AVEVA. There he revamped sales incentive plans leading to a surge in subscription/SaaS orders, and optimized sales processes to increase customer facing time and forecast accuracy. Prior to this, James spent over a decade at Schneider Electric in various leadership roles, including Vice President of Software Engagement for AVEVA, during which AVEVA sales through SE grew 35%/year, and Vice President of Commercial Operations, Transformation, and Major Projects, in which he increased profitability by 15% through commercial transformation. In his personal time, he enjoys exercising, reading, and supporting youth development, such as FIRST robotics teams and Girl Scouts.
Education
James holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a Master's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville. He is also a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma, trained in various sales methodologies, and received executive leadership education from INSEAD.
